Inauguration Message from the 51st President of KSEA

Dear members of KSEA:

I am honored to serve as the 51st President of KSEA. KSEA has been a remarkable organization, serving Korean-American scientists, engineers and entrepreneurs across the United States. It has built strong connections between the U.S. and Korea, and has provided opportunities for international cooperation, career development for the next generation, and community service. All of these are only possible because of the dedication of countless volunteers and KSEA staff with passion and a wonderful spirit of community service. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has contributed to the success of KSEA over the past 50 years. This amazing history of KSEA is published in December 2021 titled, “KSEA 50 Years”

Building upon tremendous efforts in the last few years, I would like to focus on how KSEA should approach its future and prepare for the next 50 years. Together with members of the Executive Committee and the Directors Committee and YOU, I will work towards creating ONE KSEA by bringing together Korean Americans across country, generations, and cultures, by bridging industry, entrepreneurship, and academia, and by cultivating leaders from the Korean American community and beyond. In addition, I will work towards KSEA becoming a diverse, inclusive, and equitable community, exemplary to others.

Respectfully,

Young-Kee Kim

President of KSEA
